Jano Health ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Jano Appointment Scheduler mobile application (the "App"). Our goal is to ensure transparency and give you complete control over your personal data.

§ 01

About the App

The Jano Appointment Scheduler App allows users to create and manage personal appointments directly on their mobile devices. The App is designed to operate primarily offline and minimizes data collection to protect your privacy.

§ 02

Information we do not collect

We have designed the App to function without unnecessary data access.

  • No Cloud Storage: Appointment data you create is stored only on your mobile device using a secure Room database.
  • No Sensitive Data Collection: We do not collect or access your location, photos, videos, contacts, microphone, camera, financial, or health data.
  • No Remote Servers: Your appointment data never leaves your device except during the authentication process (Google Sign-In).
§ 03

Information we collect (authentication only)

The only personal information processed is related to user authentication.

Firebase Google Sign-In To securely authenticate users, allow App access, and manage account creation and deletion. Managed by Firebase Authentication; not shared with any third parties outside of Firebase.

We use Google Firebase Authentication solely to provide secure login functionality using your existing Google account.

§ 04

Third-party services

The App integrates the following third-party service:

  • Google Firebase Authentication — used exclusively for secure user sign-in and account management.
  • Firebase Privacy Policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
  • Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Firebase acts as a data processor on our behalf and handles authentication data in accordance with Google's privacy and security policies.

§ 05

User rights and data deletion

You have full control over your data. When you choose to delete your account:

  • Authentication Data Deletion: Your Google authentication data (User ID, Email, Name, Profile Picture) is permanently deleted from Firebase Authentication.
  • Local Data Deletion: All appointment data stored locally on your device (in the Room database) is automatically deleted as part of the account deletion process. No personal or appointment information remains on your device after your account is removed.
  • Data Retention: We retain authentication data only while your account is active. Once deleted, all data — both from Firebase and local storage — is permanently erased and cannot be recovered.
§ 06

Data ownership and security

  • Data Ownership: You fully own your appointment data until account deletion. We do not access or view it at any point.
  • Security: We use secure, industry-standard methods and Firebase's authentication infrastructure to protect your data. Although we employ best practices, no electronic storage method is 100% secure.
§ 07

Children's privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete it promptly.

Compliance with data protection laws

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. We follow applicable data protection laws and industry best practices to ensure your information remains secure.

§ 09

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the App and/or on our website, along with a revised "Effective Date."

If we make significant changes, we will notify users via in-app notification or email (if applicable).

§ 10

Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
